Analysis Engineer

Beyond GravityDecatur, IL

About The Position

Supports projects and other engineers in analysis tasks while ramping up key competences. Works under close supervision to learn analysis tools, methods and standards. Understands basic static and dynamic mechanics and performs simple analysis tasks. Performs basic hand calculations and validates FEA results with supervision. Basic awareness of aerospace standards and guidelines. Basic awareness of other analysis domains (e.g., F&DT, thermal, CFD, acoustic, magnetic). Operates basic FEA tools for linear static analysis. Understands mesh generation and boundary condition setup and applies them under supervision. Uses existing scripts and tools for post-processing results. Assists in data extraction, formatting, and basic visualization. Assists in preparing test setups, sensor installation, and documentation. Basic awareness of how test data relates to structural behavior and FEM predictions. Supports basic data collection. Supports investigation of non-conformities. Understands basic repair principles. Awareness of NRBs (Non Conformance Review Board) according to the NC process. Learns how to create reports and follow standard project documentation formats. Can contribute to technical documentation with guidance and review. Follows established practices for organizing and having traceability of engineering data and documentation. Is only focusing on his own engineering discipline Understand basic R&D method and data collection. Participate in brainstorming session Provide basic input to colleagues in the bidding and proposal process. Able to compute arguments and distinguish between fact and opinion. Make decision based on pro/cons together with engineering judgment when not all data are available. Weight technical challenges together with other business relevant input (e.g. cost, timeframe…). Focus on training and ramping up competences. Participate in training sessions and share basic knowledge. Follow task manager guidance for work prioritization and scheduling. Provide necessary input to Task manager & Technical Lead. Limited hands-on experience and knowledge of the different products.
