Analog Power Design Engineer
About The Position
M9 Solutions is seeking an Analog Power Design Engineer to work hybrid remote/onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in McLeansville, NC. An active Secret clearance is required. Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Expert-level understanding of electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed-signal circuit analysis/design.
- Solid use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
- Circuit Design expertise.
- Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis).
- Feedback / Control systems experience.
- Power System architecture and grounding.
- Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components.
- The use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components.
- Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience, as well as advanced proficiency in test, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics.
- Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects.
- Team player committed to ongoing professional development for self and others.
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering to develop, test, and implement electrical components, equipment, and systems.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, integration, and verification processes, as well as support technical reviews and root cause analysis.
- Work within defined processes and collaborate with project leaders, program managers, and external clients.
