About The Position

The Boeing Company's Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Analog Design Engineer to join its Electrical Engineering Capability Team in Huntsville, AL. This role involves designing, sustaining, and upgrading next-generation electronics concepts, as well as supporting analog and digital circuit card assembly (CCA) design. The position requires translating electrical requirements into system and hardware architectures, detailed interface specifications, and build/test plans. It also involves creating and releasing engineering drawings, schematics, and PCB layouts, performing circuit analysis and simulation, and developing and executing verification and validation tests. The engineer will research emerging technologies, produce technical documentation, collaborate with various teams, and support configuration management. An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance is required, for which U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Requirements

• An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
• 3+ years of related experience for level 3.
• 5+ years of related experience for level 4.
• Analog electronics experience.
• Electronics design experience.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
• This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
• Analog design or RF design experience.
• Circuit design, integrated circuit design, analog circuit design, mixed-signal IC Design.
• SME of electrical design with proven previous design experience.
• Hands-on experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscope, multimeter, DMM, spectrum analyzer, power supply, …
• Simulation software experience such as MATLAB, PSpice, LTSpice, Simplis, or similar.
• Schematic capture, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design experience with Altium, Mentor Graphics Siemens, or other drafting CAD tools.
• Familiarity with FPGA and microcontrollers.
• Active Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Translate electrical requirements into system and hardware architectures, detailed interface specifications, and build/test plans.
• Create and release engineering drawings, schematics, and PCB layouts to support fabrication and integration.
• Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and troubleshooting using tools such as PSpice, LTSpice, Simplis, or equivalent.
• Develop and execute verification and validation tests in the lab using oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and other test equipment; analyze results and iterate designs.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and components; make recommendations for design improvements and technology investments to meet program needs.
• Produce clear technical documentation, design reviews, and test reports to support program milestones and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, reliability, and sustainment teams to ensure producibility, testability, and maintainability of designs.
• Support configuration management and change control activities; ensure designs meet applicable standards and requirements.
