About The Position

TMAS (Aventis) is seeking an AMSC Test Analyst to support the Air Force at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, Tennessee. This on-site position involves technical work in data collection and analysis, modeling, and reporting, including support for radiometric sensor field applications and EO/IR signature analysis. The role includes configuring and calibrating instrumentation, collecting data at remote test locations, analyzing and processing data, using simulation and analysis tools, and preparing technical documentation and reports. Remote deployments may last 1–3 weeks and occur 3–5 times per year. The analyst will work across multiple projects and deadlines and collaborate with senior staff and peers. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

  • Up to 3 years of experience.
  • Proficiency with Python and/or MATLAB.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and shift work while supporting test execution, as test schedules dictate.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use government and in-house simulation codes and analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to foster cooperation and teamwork with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong adherence to safety and security protocols in a test environment.

Nice To Haves

  • An active DoD security clearance; candidates without a clearance will also be considered.

  • Configure EO/IR imagers, spectrometers, and radiometers to meet customer requirements.
  • Perform detailed laboratory calibration of signature measurement instrumentation.
  • Deploy to remote test locations, potentially for 1–3 weeks per deployment and 3–5 times per year, and apply instruments to collect signature data on targets.
  • Analyze radiometric data, including image processing, atmospheric propagation, and target trajectory.
  • Perform data extraction, metadata consolidation, and data processing and analysis to support customer and user deliverables and requests.
  • Use and support the development of government or commercial tools and applications for data processing and analysis.
  • Prepare physics-based inputs for missile or other system modeling and simulation programs, and exercise models to predict signatures.
  • Perform comparative analyses of simulation results.
  • Document data processing, analysis, and software usage or adaptation as appropriate.
  • Create EO/IR signature data products and reports for field deployments or analysis and modeling efforts.
