About The Position

Requirements

• 3 plus years of Ammonia Refrigeration experience.
• Refrigeration knowledge and experience with compressors, condensers, refrigeration accessories and controls.
• Working knowledge of NH3, NH3 Safety.
• Electrical knowledge to include efficient troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment to include 480V, 220V, 120V and 24V.
• Possess working knowledge and ability to efficiently troubleshoot pneumatics, air compressors and components.
• Possess ability to efficiently troubleshoot and repair manufacturing, processing and packaging equipment.
• Ability to work with hands in mechanically oriented situations.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, if required, including overtime, on-call.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; push; pull; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; and crouch.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.
• Able to pass a physical and respiratory exam.
• Valid Driver’s license and clean record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair compressors, condensers, refrigeration accessories and controls.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment including 480V, 220V, 120V and 24V.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatics, air compressors and components.
• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing, processing and packaging equipment.
• Work with hands in mechanically oriented situations.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Work flexible shifts, if required, including overtime, on-call.
• Use hand and power tools.
• Tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of –15 degrees Fahrenheit and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation).
• Climb ladders and stairs.
• Frequently stand; walk; push; pull; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; and crouch.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Pass a physical and respiratory exam.
