About The Position
The Kentucky College Coach program is an AmeriCorps program administered by Serve Kentucky and Kentucky Campus Compact and funded by AmeriCorps, the Agency. The Kentucky College Coach will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and community partners to help increase the capacity for institutions to help students persist and graduate through direct mentoring/coaching/tutoring, support of high-impact practices, and/or providing service to others (on- or off-campus community service).
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Mentoring experience
- Must be at least 17 years old
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. national, or legal permanent resident alien
- Must be able to pass a National Service Criminal History Check
Responsibilities
- Direct mentoring/coaching/tutoring
- Support of high-impact practices
- Providing service to others (on- or off-campus community service)
- Submit monthly activity reports to help measure impact
- Submit bi-weekly time sheets
