About The Position

The Foundation for American Innovation (FAI) is seeking a program manager to join the American Governance team. This role reports to the director of American Governance and will collaborate with the director and scholars to develop policy products, manage partner relationships, identify growth opportunities, and ensure the team's operational efficiency. The program manager will be a key contributor to the team's success, providing accountability and expertise. This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project development and implementation within the American Governance team.
  • Facilitate new external relationships and strengthen existing ones.
  • Provide general oversight and support for the team's goals.
  • Track team progress on multiple projects of varying durations and intensity.
  • Ensure clarity and accountability among team members, verifying responsibilities are carried out and deadlines are met.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the American Governance team and other FAI departments (Growth, Operations, External Relations).
  • Support fundraising efforts by working with the Growth department.
  • Facilitate team budgeting and administrative compliance with the Operations department.
  • Promote the team's work and plan events with the External Relations department.
  • Support external relationships with policymakers, donors, and coalition partners.
  • Manage meeting preparation, follow-ups, and CRM data for external relationships.
  • Ensure grant deliverables are met on time.
  • Assist in measuring and communicating the impact of the team's work.
