About The Position

Highland Hospital is seeking an experienced Ambulatory Tech/Medical Assistant to join their GAMA team. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. The role supports providers and assists in the delivery of primary and preventative health care. Performs technical procedures and clinically oriented activities under nursing supervision. Responsibilities include escorting patients from the waiting area to the exam room, obtaining vital signs, and administering screening tools.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in customer-focused service setting
• At least 6 months of health care experience providing direct patient care and interaction with patients
• American Heart Association BLS CPR Certification or acquire within 6 months after hire

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow
• Supports providers
• Assists and promotes the delivery of primary and preventative health care
• Performs technical procedures and clinically oriented activities under nursing supervision
• Escorts patients from waiting area to the exam room
• Obtains vitals
