About The Position

The Registered Nurse is a Massachusetts-registered professional nurse accountable for planning and providing patient care in accordance with the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. These positions are based in ambulatory clinics and involve onsite schedules, in-person and online patient interactions, and frequent collaboration with physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Each role includes telephone triage: assessing symptom severity, communicating urgent needs to the licensed independent practitioner, directing patients to an appropriate setting or level of care, documenting interventions and individualized plans in an electronic medical record, educating patients and families, preliminarily interpreting data, providing home-care advice and follow-up, making timely and calm decisions during emergencies, and supporting continuity of care.
