About The Position

Performs echocardiograms on adult and pediatric inpatient/outpatients. This is a PRN Position.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer/patient service, problem solving, time management and organizational skill, be a team player, excellent communication skills including telephone etiquette.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• CCI or ARDMS required within one (1) year of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms on adult and pediatric inpatient/outpatients.
• Recognize life-threatening findings and notify physicians.
• Calculate test results.
• Uses good body mechanics.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Serves as patient advocate.
• Basic computer data entry.
