About The Position
We are the Ambulatory Resource Center where we provide temporary clinical staffing support at 200+ Corewell Health Ambulatory Practices across the system. Primary Health (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine & Pediatrics) to Adult and Pediatric Specialties. Assignments vary in length from 1 day (covering ill calls, scheduled vacations, etc.) up to 3-4 months (covering leaves of absence, open positions, etc.) This position does require some travel to various sites around West Michigan. The goal is to keep team members as close to home as possible while meeting business needs. Team members will not be required to travel over 45 miles (one way) from their home address on file to daily work location. There are both full time and part time opportunities available. Minimum team member availability of 2 full shifts per week required (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. - 32 hours per 2-week pay period). Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program
- 1 year of relevant experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting
Nice To Haves
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
Responsibilities
- Under direct general supervision of the registered nurse/provider and following hospital policy and procedure, provides nursing care to patients.
- Implements nursing care procedures, evaluates patient progress, and assists in modification of care plan as necessary.
- Provides teaching to patients and their families.
- While actual responsibilities and duties may vary depending upon the clinical area assigned, the following are typical duties that would be performed, under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse or provider.
