Ambulatory Business Manager - Voorhees and Moorestown Surgery Center
About The Position
The Perioperative Outpatient Business Manager is responsible for providing strategic, financial, and operational leadership for the outpatient surgery centers located in Moorestown and Voorhees. This position serves as the primary business leader for ambulatory perioperative services, ensuring efficient operations, optimal utilization of operating room resources, strong financial performance, and exceptional patient and physician satisfaction. Cooper’s Voorhees and Moorestown Surgery Centers are hospital-run outpatient facilities that follow the same high clinical standards as Cooper’s main surgical facilities in Camden. Both centers provide streamlined, patient-focused care, guiding patients from pre-admission screening and pre-operative preparation through anesthesia, surgery, recovery in PACU, and discharge home the same day. The centers offer a variety of specialties, including general, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, vascular, interventional radiology, and other minimally invasive procedures. Supported by skilled surgical teams and advanced technology, care is designed to reduce pain and complications, promote faster recovery, and help patients return to their normal activities sooner.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic, financial, and operational leadership for the Moorestown and Voorhees Surgery Centers.
- Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the surgery centers, including scheduling, registration, patient access, and business office functions.
- Lead operational planning initiatives to optimize operating room utilization, procedural capacity, throughput, and resource allocation.
- Identify opportunities for cost containment, operational efficiencies, and revenue enhancement while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Analyze financial performance, productivity, utilization, revenue, expenses, and key operational metrics, implementing action plans to improve outcomes.
- Ensure effective scheduling processes that maximize operating room and procedural suite utilization while supporting patient access goals.
- Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and professional development opportunities for direct reports.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, customer service excellence, and employee engagement.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and established business practices.
- Support sustainable growth strategies by maximizing capacity, utilization, and operational effectiveness across the surgery centers.
- Establish performance expectations and monitor employee productivity, accountability, and service standards.
- Lead change management efforts and facilitate the successful implementation of operational and organizational initiatives.
- Promote teamwork, collaboration, and a positive workplace culture across outpatient perioperative services.
