About The Position
Under general supervision, this non-sworn mid-management position plans, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the effectiveness of the Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance transport component of the Glendale Fire Department's Emergency Medical Services Program. The position manages Ambulance Operator personnel, staffing, recruitment, onboarding, training, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, operational readiness, and assigned program resources.
Requirements
- Associate of Arts or Associate of Science Degree in a related field.
- Completion of either a Registered Nursing Program or a Paramedic Training Program.
- Five years of recent experience in the delivery of emergency medical care.
- One year of supervisory experience in emergency medical care.
- Possession of a valid California Registered Nursing License or possession of a valid California State Paramedic License.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree.
- Experience in delivery of skills training and education.
