About The Position

EMS Unlimited is seeking a motivated, positive Ambulance Driver to operate an ambulance and support the transport crew during inter-facility and emergency calls. This entry-level position does not require an EMT license. EMS Unlimited will help the employee attend EMT school, providing a path to becoming an EMT with the team. The position reports to the Operations Manager and Transports Team Lead. The schedule consists of 72-hour shifts, with three days on and six days off. Applicants must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Have current CPR certification; the employer can help the employee obtain it.
Be able to lift and move patients with a partner.
Be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
Be willing to learn.

Nice To Haves

EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course).
Interest in becoming an EMT; tuition assistance is available.

Responsibilities

Safely drive the ambulance to and from calls, hospitals, and facilities.
Assist the crew with lifting, moving, and loading patients and the stretcher.
Carry and set up equipment on scene as directed.
Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.
Clean, disinfect, and restock the ambulance and equipment.
Keep the station clean and ready for service.
Communicate professionally with patients, families, dispatch, and facility staff.
Take part in ongoing training.
