About The Position

Midwood EMS is seeking experienced drivers to work as a Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) from its Brooklyn base in Coney Island. The MVO is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of patients and communicates with patients, facilities, and coworkers. The role includes operating and maintaining the company ambulance and equipment, following applicable traffic laws, responding to dispatched ambulance calls alongside an EMT, and safely and efficiently transporting patients to their destinations. The position is available full-time and part-time.

Requirements

• Valid New York State driver’s license.
• Maintain a clean driving record to qualify for coverage under the auto insurance policy.
• Ability to safely lift 250 pounds with assistance.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Nice To Haves

• Prior healthcare experience.
• Three or more years of experience driving ambulances, trucks, or other oversized vehicles.
