As an Ambient Senior Field Technician, you’ll get hands-on experience collecting data while spending most of their time outdoors in a hardhat rather than in a cubicle. The compensation range for this role is $24 to $28/hr., commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel 20-50% including some weekends
  • TWIC
  • Ability to work in industrial settings & outdoors
  • High School diploma through bachelor's degree
  • Valid driver's license
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with proven time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of computer software, such as MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation, deployment, testing/sampling of air monitoring activities
  • Independently and effectively assemble, operate, and troubleshoot ambient air testing equipment
  • Ensure project preparation is complete before going into the field; this includes preparation, cleaning procedures, repair, and calibration
  • Practice safety methods and procedures, and report all potential dangers, hazards, or unsafe work practices to the supervisor
  • Provide excellent customer service to all clients
  • Assist with laboratory, shop, and equipment maintenance
  • Provide technical support to remotely-based field technicians to troubleshoot and resolve problems and equipment fault conditions
  • Document all activities (e.g., repairs, maintenance, non-conformance events, QA audits, etc.)
