A Day in the Life As an Ambient Field Technician, you’ll get hands-on experience collecting data while spending most of their time outdoors in a hardhat rather than in a cubicle The compensation range for this role is $24 to $28/hr., commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities: Assist in preparation, deployment, testing/sampling of air monitoring activities Independently and effectively assemble, operate, and troubleshoot ambient air testing equipment Ensure project preparation is complete before going into the field; this includes preparation, cleaning procedures, repair, and calibration Practice safety methods and procedures, and report all potential dangers, hazards, or unsafe work practices to the supervisor Provide excellent customer service to all clients Assist with laboratory, shop, and equipment maintenance Your Expertise and Skills These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here. Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to work in industrial settings & outdoors
  • High School diploma through bachelor's degree
  • Valid driver's license
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with proven time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of computer software, such as MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds several times a day
  • Ability to pass background check & drug screen
  • Often works outdoors and may be exposed to hot and cold environments and extreme weather conditions, including sunlit, rainy and windy conditions

Responsibilities
