About The Position

The Ambassador serves 15 hours or less each week in a defined area, engaging, equipping, and empowering coaches and athletes to fulfill the FCA Vision, pursue the FCA Mission, and live the FCA Values. Within FCA sports environments, the Ambassador implements a consistent approach to discipleship by making disciples who make disciples. The role is accountable for ensuring that FCA ministry is conducted according to biblical standards and FCA policies and procedures. The position includes ministerial duties requiring service as an act of worship, spiritual leadership, prayer and Bible study, and participation in a local church. The Ambassador advances ministry by serving coaches, athletes, and volunteers through one-on-one interactions, Huddles, and events; supports volunteer training and development; may engage in donor support-raising activities with appropriate training; and supports the aligned international region through prayer, giving, and going.

Responsibilities

Agree with and abide by FCA's Christian Community Statement.
Follow a spiritual rhythm, including daily prayer and Bible study, to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
Lead, conduct, and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and example.
Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
Conduct oneself at all times in a manner affirming biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs.
Engage, equip, and empower coaches, athletes, and volunteers through one-on-ones, Huddles, and events.
Work with the supervisor to train and equip volunteers to empower coaches and athletes to become disciples who make disciples.
Work with the supervisor to recruit, train, and develop a diverse group of volunteers in assigned sports environments.
When asked by the supervisor, engage in support raising by connecting, communicating, and caring for donors with appropriate training.
Work with the supervisor to serve the aligned international region through praying, giving, and going.
Ensure FCA ministry is conducted according to biblical standards and FCA policies and procedures.
