About The Position

The Parking Ambassador is responsible for providing guests with assistance and excellent guest service while maintaining a consistent image. This role involves taking payments for parked vehicles, directing patrons into open spots, and responding to guest inquiries regarding parking procedures and property information. The Ambassador operates the Garage Parking Control System and cash register, maintains an acceptable appearance, and treats customers and guests courteously at all times.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Ability to meet the company's production and quality standards.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Maintain all required work cards, including proper work authorization, at all times.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Ability to deal with violent situations by verbally defusing them and notifying Security immediately.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • One year of customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent guest service and hospitality skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and listening skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to multitask several activities and duties simultaneously.
  • Ability to function and act independently.
  • Ability to work well with people, in a team environment, and to communicate effectively both written & oral.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have the physical ability to access all areas of the facility; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing at least 50 lbs. without restriction.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and noisy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the cash register/pay station.
  • Process cash and credit card transactions and make change for customers.
  • Transport and protect company funds and assets.
  • Reconcile parking funds at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Set up parking cones, directional signs, event signs, and other traffic direction devices.
  • Provide traffic direction and control as directed by the Security Supervisor.
  • Work closely with other Booth Attendants, Security Officers, and other Security staff.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist guests by giving directions and answering questions in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Follow lawful directions from supervisors.
  • Know and understand federal, state, and local requirements governing the company's business.
  • Understand and follow work rules and procedures.
  • Interact well with others and be a positive influence on employee morale.
  • Uphold the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
  • Work evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.
  • Practice, support, and promote Plaza Company-wide culture and demonstrate Championship Service Standards.
  • Notify Security of all disturbances, observe, report, document, and take action as directed.
  • Immediately notify Security of all accidents on Plaza premises.
