About The Position

This AAA Four Diamond Casino Resort is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Ambassador/Greeter to join our team. The Wawyé Oasis is a large recreational and entertainment area featuring three separate pools for adults and families, as well as a concert venue with a capacity of up to 1,200 people. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, controlling entry, assisting with ticketing, and providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in an entertainment or recreational setting, required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Polished and professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Must hold/maintain certification with Alcohol Awareness (TIPS). If not already certified, training will be provided.
  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license with the Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with electronic ticketing systems and kiosks preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet all guests as they arrive at the Oasis.
  • Verify guest room key or eTix tickets for entry to the pools, and eTix tickets for the concert venue.
  • Manage guest flow and ensure orderly entry to the venue.
  • Collaborate with team members to support various events, adjusting duties based on event requirements.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of event areas as needed.
  • Provide assistance as needed to other Team Members to ensure smooth operations during events.
  • Address guest inquiries about current and future events, providing detailed and accurate information.
  • Assist guests in obtaining eTix from kiosks for upcoming events.
  • Must have cash handling experience, responsible for all transactions in a Casino environment.
  • Have knowledge of all methods of check tendering (cash, comp, coupon, credit card, points, gift certificates, etc.).
  • Run cash register and handle money.
  • Responsible for register bank and all money, charges, and comps collected during a shift.
  • Follow proper transaction settlement procedures.
  • Must maintain accurate cash handling and blind drop procedures when using a cash bank in accordance with department policies.
  • Ensure all guest interactions are handled with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Remain alert for potential emergencies and respond according to established protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with security and management during emergency situations.
  • Participate in emergency drills and training sessions as required.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and efficiently.
  • Handle complaints or concerns with a positive and proactive approach.
  • Ensure a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all guests at the Oasis.
  • All other duties as assigned.
