About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect (AWS Solution Architect) with a non-expired AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification. The role requires at least two years of experience with AWS products and services, including EC2 production instances, and one year of experience in database administration. Mastery of AWS services such as EC2, CloudFront, Autoscaling, and Elastic Load Balancers, along with proficiency in a high-level programming language (Perl or Python) and the Bash command line, is essential. The position also requires experience conducting design reviews and working with Drupal CMS integration. Experience in the GovCloud region is highly desired. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary for collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• A non-expired AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification issued by Amazon Web Services.
• At least two (2) total years setting up, working with, maintaining, and troubleshooting AWS products and services, including EC2 production instances.
• At least one (1) year of experience in database administration, including experience troubleshooting, restoring databases, and resolving compatibility problems.
• Mastery of AWS services, including, but not limited to, EC2, CloudFront, Autoscaling, and Elastic Load Balancers.
• Mastery of at least one high-level programming language relevant to the position, such as Perl or Python.
• Mastery of the Bash command line.
• An undergraduate college degree or four (4) years of professional experience relevant to this position.
• Experience conducting design reviews.
• Experience working with Drupal CMS integration.
• Availability and ability to conduct the work and participate in the meetings as detailed in Section C Statement of Work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, working with, maintaining, and troubleshooting AWS products and services, including EC2 production instances.
• Database administration, including troubleshooting, restoring databases, and resolving compatibility problems.
• Utilizing mastery of AWS services, including EC2, CloudFront, Autoscaling, and Elastic Load Balancers.
• Applying mastery of at least one high-level programming language relevant to the position, such as Perl or Python.
• Using mastery of the Bash command line.
• Conducting design reviews.
• Working with Drupal CMS integration.
• Collaborating with staff or other technical development teams (contracted or in-house).
• Liaising with Contractor project manager, COR, and other vendors or stakeholders.
