The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As the Amazon Key Account Business Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Leading the identification, development, and scaling of incremental revenue streams with Amazon beyond core 1P growth, including alternative commercial models and emerging growth opportunities that expand 3M’s total addressable business. Implementing a coordinated Amazon Business (B2B) acceleration strategy in close partnership with Key Account Managers and business groups, defining portfolio priorities, customer segments, content and experience requirements, and execution roadmaps to drive enterprise‑wide growth. Determining strategic frameworks, operating models, and investment priorities for non‑traditional and next‑generation Amazon initiatives (e.g., marketplace models, B2B programs, private label or new‑to‑brand opportunities) through market analysis, business case development, and scenario planning. Supporting Key Account Managers by partnering on customer strategy and execution across the portfolio, enabling consistent deployment of growth initiatives, alignment with joint business plans, and integration into core account rhythms and performance management. Leading cross‑functional engagement across sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, legal, and business groups to ensure alignment, resourcing, governance adherence, and disciplined program management for major growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Eight (8) years of progressive experience in business development, sales strategy, key account support, eCommerce, or commercial leadership in a private, public, government or military environment

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and workstreams
  • Proven ability to develop growth strategies, business cases, and commercial frameworks and translate them into executable plans
  • Strong analytical capability, including experience with financial modeling, scenario analysis, and performance tracking
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority in a matrixed organizational environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and executive‑level communication skills
  • Experience developing or executing growth strategies with Amazon or other large, complex omnichannel / eCommerce customers
  • Demonstrated experience accelerating B2B or enterprise customer growth, including digital, marketplace, or platform‑based commercial models
  • Experience identifying, evaluating, and scaling incremental or alternative revenue streams beyond core run‑rate business
  • Familiarity with Amazon Business (B2B), marketplace models (e.g., 3P), or other emerging platform opportunities
  • Demonstrated strength in program management, including roadmap development, KPI definition, operating cadences, and executive reporting
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed enterprise organization
  • MBA or advanced degree
