Requirements

  • 1-3 years previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
  • Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to get it
  • Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts
  • Requires strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Have a desire to exceed expectations
  • An energetic personality

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience preferably with breakfast or high-volume service

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast menu items according to established recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
  • Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation for breakfast service
  • Complete daily prep work to ensure the kitchen is prepared for service
  • Work efficiently during service while maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation
  • Safely and properly use knives, cooking equipment, and other kitchen tools
  • Assist with food preparation for banquets, events, and other outlets as needed
  • Assist with the preparation and production of employee meals as needed
  • Support the Culinary team with additional prep and food production based on business needs
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
  • Ensure food and ingredients are properly labeled, dated, rotated, and stored
  • Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients and finished products
  • Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portioning, storage, and cross-utilization
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen and workstation throughout the shift
  • Communicate and work closely with culinary leadership and other team members to ensure a smooth and successful service
