About The Position

The Specialty Floor Care position is responsible for handling various specialty service floor care projects for our Medical Account. If you're willing to learn we are happy to train you in floor care! This role involves maintaining a schedule of projects, performing tasks such as stripping floors, waxing, buffing, carpet extraction, and other periodic or project work. Additionally, the position may include local supply deliveries, post-construction clean-ups, power washing, and resolving customer complaints. General cleaning and light maintenance may also be required, along with maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs on equipment. The role also involves inspecting and setting up new equipment, materials, and processes, and working with a manager to learn new procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, and 1-3 years related experience; additional years of education and experience may be substituted for each other, as determined by HR.
Ability to read, write and speak English is requirement of this position.
Must provide safety steel toe shoes – company will reimburse up to $50 per year.
Must be able to work mornings 25%, evenings 75%, there are some variances on summertime for more AM work.
Must be able to work mornings, evenings, and travel for business.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Must be able to pass background check required by customers to enter and work in their facilities.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be mechanically inclined and have experience working on small equipment.
Regularly required to stand or sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach grasp objects, tools, or controls.
Must occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift (50lbs on a frequent basis, 100lbs occasionally- with assistance) as well as push or pull objects.
Must have the visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and other equipment as well as the ability to adjust vision for close vision work.
Must comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e., when exposed to cleaning chemicals, operating equipment, etc.).
Employees working in medical facilities are required to wear a mask and gloves during the entirety of their shift.

Responsibilities

Maintain schedule of projects to ensure customer wishes are met.
Perform project tasks including stripping floors, waxing, buffing, carpet extraction, and other periodic or project work as is desired by customers.
Perform project work consisting of local deliveries of supplies, post construction clean-ups, floor care, carpet care, power washing and various tasks resolving customer complaints at local customers.
Perform general cleaning and light maintenance if needed.
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs on equipment.
Inspect and set up new equipment material and processes.
Work with manager to learn new types of equipment, materials, and processes.
Provide excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
Reports to work on time and works overtime as required.
