About The Position

Keeps the district's school buildings in such a state of operating excellence that they present no problems or interruptions to the educational program. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, scheduled for 12 months, Monday-Friday, from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm. The hourly rate is $17.34, subject to experience. Full benefits are included.

Nice To Haves

Experience with mechanical equipment such as: ride on scrubbers, side/side scrubbers, wet vacs, and other cleaning equipment.
Experience with setting up and taking down for events.
Experience with minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
Experience with snow and ice removal.

Responsibilities

Cleans/Disinfects and preserves designated spaces in district buildings.
General cleaning, trash removal, sweep/vacuum, window cleaning, restrooms, breakrooms, snow removal, buffing & waxing of floors, and other duties as assigned.
Restocks disposable items and provides lead custodian with inventory usage and data.
Operation & care of mechanical equipment such as: ride on scrubbers, side/side scrubbers, wet vacs, and other cleaning equipment.
Set up and take down of specific event needs such as: tarps, chairs, tables and other specified needs per event.
Arrive on time and work at various buildings within the district for staff shortages, special events, or operational needs.
Assists with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
Monitor and maintain security of school premises.
Removal of snow, ice from exterior entrances and doorways.
Ability to work and communicate with a diverse workforce.
Ability to adhere to safety practices, proper use of chemicals, personal protective equipment, etc.
Overtime as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
