About The Position

Roxbury is currently hiring a full-time team member to create lifetime relationships with discharging patients to support their long-term recovery. The Alumni Services Coordinator is responsible for building positive relationships with four stakeholder groups - patients, alumni, families, and local communities. Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., has been a beacon of hope and healing for 41 years, serving those struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues. Located in hippensburg, PA., our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as, an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. Our mission is to provide high-quality behavioral health services in an environment that values service excellence, respect, and ethical standards, integrity, compassion, and teamwork.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Working knowledge of the 12-step program and/or Smart Recovery.
Certification as a recovery support specialist is required.
Working knowledge of dual diagnosis / chemical dependency treatment approaches.
Working knowledge of 12 Step Program recovery philosophies.
Experience interacting in a supportive manner with adult patients.
Experience with limit setting and behavior management.
Experience with crisis prevention and intervention techniques.
Knowledge of continuing care resources and processes.

Nice To Haves

Certified Recovery Specialist credentials are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Create lifetime relationships with discharging patients to support their long-term recovery.
Build positive relationships with patients, alumni, families, and local communities.
Alumni outreach and coordination of on-site and off-site events.
Serve as a liaison to new and discharging patients.
Conduct group facilitation and speaker coordination.
Assist with social media for the facility.
Oversee enrollment and ongoing communication with the alumni group.
Maintain the alumni database and community events.
