About The Position

Casa Palmera is a nationally recognized subacute residential treatment center providing treatment for substance use, mood, anxiety, and trauma disorders. Its multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists works together to support clients in a caring community.

The Alumni Coordinator develops and elaborates Alumni Services. The role introduces clients in inpatient and outpatient care to the alumni program before discharge, maintains alumni information and discharge schedules in coordination with the Aftercare Coordinator, and organizes alumni events and communications. The coordinator also checks in with alumni, gathers relevant information, participates in networking, and collaborates with Business Development and other staff to coordinate care and expand the organization’s resource network. The position is full-time, has a flexible schedule, and requires weekend availability. It is based in Del Mar, California, with compensation of $23–$27 per hour.

Requirements

• Experience using Word and Excel.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma recommended.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred.
• Two years of experience in a general office and/or behavioral health environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with clients to provide information about alumni services.
• Maintain a database containing contact and demographic information for program alumni.
• Maintain an accurate calendar of scheduled discharges and work with the Aftercare Coordinator to ensure Alumni Services are accessible after discharge.
• Routinely contact alumni and gather information on target indicators, including abstinence or other relevant items.
• Coordinate alumni email and newsletter communications.
• Coordinate alumni events.
• Participate in networking events.
• Know and follow HIPAA requirements to ensure communications are HIPAA-compliant.
• Work with Business Development staff, the Aftercare Coordinator, and the Financial Planner to coordinate care and expand the resource network.
