Alumni College Mentor

Frontier SchoolsKansas City, MO

About The Position

The Alumni College Mentoring Program (ACMP) is designed to support college-ready high school graduates in their transition to and through college, addressing challenges like non-enrollment or failure to persist beyond their first or second year. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable mentoring experience. As a mentor, you will share your college experience with incoming and continuing Frontier students and support their academic and personal success. The ACMP is currently offered at Metropolitan Community College (MCC) and the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC). The program seeks caring, motivated, and dedicated Frontier alumni to serve as mentors for first- and second-year students enrolled at these institutions. This role offers flexible scheduling while providing consistent support to assigned students, referred to as “college fellows.” Mentors may earn up to $10,000 annually, depending on their assigned caseload. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. By participating, mentors contribute to a stronger, more connected Frontier community, helping to increase college enrollment, persistence, and graduation rates among Frontier graduates, and strengthening the Frontier alumni network.
