About The Position

The Alumni and Development Intern will report directly to the Senior Associate Director of Alumni Engagement and is responsible for assisting with various administrative projects for the Alumni & Development Office. This position will work approximately 24 hours a week over approximately eight weeks. Projects might include data clean-up, prospect research and organization, project organization, digitizing files, and other duties as assigned. The intern will gain a comprehensive understanding of the work of the Development Office at an independent school.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in progress or recently completed required.
  • Willingness to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct and synthesize research findings accurately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey research results and suggestions.
  • Superior organizational and project management skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using databases and other tools, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Able to work effectively and diplomatically with a variety of people, including supervisors, peers, and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior to ensure the confidentiality and security of donor information.
  • Able to demonstrate dedication to the mission of the Development Office at an independent school.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Senior Associate Director of Alumni Engagement to work on various projects throughout the summer.
  • These projects may include data clean-up, prospect research and organization, project organization, digitizing files, and other duties as assigned.
  • The duties will support various teams within the Office of Alumni and Development.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Research and Prospect Management.
