About The Position

The Alumnae/i Relations Student Ambassador will assist with general alumnae/i inquiries, support administrative office tasks, aid in the management of the University Advancement database, and help with the University's death notice process. This role also involves proofreading print materials, preparing mailings, providing campus tours to alumnae/i, greeting visitors, and assisting with event execution. The position is open to Dominican University undergraduate students and is available from August 2026 to May 2027.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in Fall 2026 – Spring 2027 semesters
  • Must be in good conduct standing with the Dean of Students

Responsibilities

  • Assist with general alumnae/i inquiries via phone, email, mail, etc., and direct them to the appropriate office
  • Support administrative office tasks, i.e. answering phones, various filing, special projects, etc.
  • Aid in management of the University Advancement database through tracking alumnae/i activities and information updates
  • Check alumnae/i page on LinkedIn for updates and new members.
  • Support the University’s death notice process by researching obituaries, tracking information, and mailing invitations for two remembrance masses
  • Proof various letters, mailings, and other print materials for publication
  • Prepare large mailings to alumnae/i
  • Provide campus tours to DU alumnae/i upon request
  • Other projects as assigned by supervisor
  • Greet visitors to the Office of Alumnae/i Relations and/or University Advancement
  • Assist with the execution of events including, but not limited to: Reunion activities, Homecoming, Benefit, Memorial Mass, Holiday Sing, etc.
