About The Position

Lindsay Corporation is hiring an Aluminum Welding Technician at its facility in Lindsay, Nebraska. The role involves wire welding a variety of metals and alloys—including aluminum and stainless steel—to create assemblies that meet strength and pressure requirements. It also involves spot welding product parts and positioning, aligning, and fitting fabricated plates, structural shapes, and weldments in preparation for assembly into fabricated structural products.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a weld test.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layouts and procedures.
• Ability to add and subtract whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Deftness and attention to detail.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-form instructions.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, and ear plugs.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Professional certification, such as an AWS welding certificate, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Wire weld aluminum, stainless steel, and other metals and alloys for assemblies that meet strength and pressure requirements.
• Perform spot welding on a variety of product parts.
• Position, align, and fit fabricated plates, structural shapes, and weldments in preparation for assembly.
