Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED preferred
  • 12+ months prior manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old
  • Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High focus on quality and safety
  • Proficient math, reading, and computer skills
  • Advanced skill in the use basic, pneumatic, and power tools
  • Advanced skill in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
  • Intermediate knowledge of differences between parts flowing through assigned areas
  • Intermediate use of various prepping supplies and equipment required for assigned areas
  • Able to understand safety protocols of automated systems
  • Knowledge and ability to perform other jobs in other pay grades
  • Experience in reading measuring devices
  • Ability to safely operate equipment, which may include material movement equipment such as overhead lifting devices, forklifts, etc.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check, if offered employment

Responsibilities

  • Perform the following with limited supervision: Prioritize workflow through the department based on production requirements
  • Read and following drawings, SOPs, and blueprints for part installation and caulk application in assigned area
  • Full operation and basic troubleshooting of multiple pieces of equipment, where assigned, which may include equipment press brake, CNC, laser, linear punch, whitney punch, trumpf punch, elumatic saw, complex automation systems, waterjet, spinner
  • Perform operator-level cleaning and maintenance for their assigned area
  • Perform multiple tooling changeovers
  • Conform to all safety guidelines while performing duties and operating equipment
  • Wear the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) for the position
  • Support daily and monthly production goals and targets
  • Utilize SOPs and Standard Work Instructions to complete work
  • Contribute to safety and process improvement initiatives
  • Learn SAP/ MII / MES Processes
  • Demonstrate reliability and ownership of assigned processes
  • Identify work to be performed via SAP or MII work center priority
  • Perform physical material movements
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S and lean initiatives
  • Cross-train within department
  • Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible in areas they are cross-trained in
  • Help train new production team members as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned
