About The Position

This role evaluates and analyzes prospective fund investments, direct deals, and co-investments for a Family Office Alternative Investment Platform. The work spans multiple asset classes, including private equity, venture, private credit, and real assets, as well as inbound requests. The role works with third-party providers to build and oversee the platform’s direct-deal and co-investment roster. It may also include strategic initiatives and projects to enhance the alternatives platform.

The position is located in New York City and involves sourcing and assessing private investment opportunities, leading due diligence, monitoring portfolio performance and valuations, supporting the marketing of investment opportunities, and preparing written content.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 5 years of relevant investment experience within private markets, a family office, a fund of funds, or an institutional allocator environment.
• Extensive knowledge of the alternative investment landscape, including individual asset classes and strategies.
• Demonstrated track record of sourcing, underwriting, and managing private investments.
• Strong written skills.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills.

• CAIA or CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate private investment opportunities with GPs and sponsors by managing and accessing inbound requests and client-sourced deals.
• Lead end-to-end financial, operational, and strategic due diligence for direct-deal selection across asset classes.
• Collaborate with current and future third-party due diligence partners.
• Monitor the performance and valuation of alternative investments and provide ongoing updates to internal teams and clients.
• Assist in marketing direct and co-investment opportunities for the Alternatives Platform.
• Provide written content on investment opportunities.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and projects to enhance the alternatives platform.
