About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking an Alternative Family Living (AFL) Provider in North Carolina. As an AFL provider, you will open your home to provide an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and possibly mental health challenges, a unique opportunity to live with a family unit. The supported individuals have varying needs, and the goal is to connect them with the 'right fit'. As an AFL provider, you will offer a stable and caring home where they can live, grow, and integrate into the community, working towards goals of daily living skills and independence. The supported individual may attend a day program or receive other services in addition to the residential services provided by the AFL.

Requirements

  • Must be interested in becoming an Alternative Family Living (AFL) Provider.
  • Must be able to provide a stable and caring home.
  • Must be able to support individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities and/or possibly mental health challenges.
  • Must be able to work towards goals of daily living skills/independence.

Nice To Haves

  • CNA or DSP Experience is preferred.
