About The Position

Benesch's Tennessee team has built a strong reputation in the transportation market through deep technical expertise, trusted client relationships, and a long history of delivering for TDOT and other public-sector partners. As the transportation industry continues to evolve, we see an exciting opportunity to expand how we help our clients deliver complex infrastructure. We’re looking for an experienced Alternative Delivery Project Manager to join our Franklin or Nashville team and play a key role in this growth. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Tennessee leadership to establish relationships, shape strategies, pursue opportunities, and lay the foundation for a growing practice. You’ll bring your experience in Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CM/GC, and/or P3 and have the opportunity to make a visible impact on how Benesch approaches alternative delivery across the region. Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive AEC experience, including significant leadership experience with alternative delivery projects.
  • A proven track record leading complex transportation and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more alternative delivery models, including Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CM/GC, and/or P3.
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to RFQs, RFPs, Alternative Technical Concepts (ATCs), teaming strategies, and client interviews.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, contracts, project delivery, budgets, schedules, risk management, and project execution.
  • Established relationships with DOTs, public agencies, contractors, consultants, and/or other infrastructure partners.
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills with the ability to identify opportunities and help turn relationships into work.
  • The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, influence stakeholders, and navigate complex project environments.
  • PE License in Tennessee, or the ability to obtain Tennessee licensure within the first three months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams through the full lifecycle of alternative delivery projects, from pursuit and procurement through design, construction, and closeout.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with TDOT, public agencies, contractors, consultants, and teaming partners to identify opportunities and position Benesch for future work.
  • Lead and support RFQs, RFPs, ATCs, teaming strategies, interviews, and pursuit efforts, developing strategies that align technical solutions with client goals.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, deliverables, and contractual requirements while guiding teams through complex project challenges.
  • Partner with the Director of Alternative Delivery and Tennessee leadership to develop and grow Benesch’s alternative delivery capabilities, processes, and best practices.
  • Help shape the future of the practice by identifying opportunities, developing partnerships, mentoring others, and building the team and capabilities needed for long-term growth.
