About The Position

Koniag IT Systems, LLC (KITS), a Koniag Government Services (KGS) company, is seeking an Alternate PM to support KITS and our government customer in Baltimore, MD. This position is classified as a managerial role. A Computer Operator IV must have the ability to serve in a leadership role according to schedule and program instructions.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10+ years of personal computer experience.
  • Eight years of experience in a business mailroom, print operations, and/or mail sorting experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of modern operating systems, networking, and MS Office software.
  • Thorough knowledge of clerical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent attention-to-detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform accurately, assigned routine operations on various data processing equipment.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to listen effectively and express thoughts and opinions clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work well both alone and in highly structured team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications capabilities with good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Candidates who hold an active public trust government clearance are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates who are willing to undergo a background investigation to receive a government clearance will be strongly considered.
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm daily. (Hours may vary based on workload and candidates must be flexible)
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to stand for significant periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or successful completion of related programs in data processing and computer operations.
  • Experience with using loading and maneuvering equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Observes, evaluates, and supervises day-to-day operations of operators in a lower classification, ensuring production efficiency aligns with daily task objectives.
  • Facilitates daily production by communicating directing daily activities, scheduling operator work tasks, and following up on work results.
  • Organizes and maintains resources to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of unfortunate events.
  • Prepares and provides guidance to operators in a lower classification by conducting training, providing information, and resolving problems.
  • Reports project status to senior management regularly.
  • Prepare and communicate effective correspondence in response to administrative inquiries.
  • Apply administrative concepts, practices, and procedures to research materials for projects and fulfilled meeting obligations.
  • Compiles data from a variety of sources to interpret relevant information.
  • Performs related work as assigned by Contract Officer.
