As the Alpha Testing Lead, you will own the creation of the testing; strategy, execution, and continuous improvement while developing and mentoring a team of Test Engineers and Technicians. This is a role with a strong mechanical focus.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology or related field.
5+ years leading a technical team.
5+ years of experience in mechanical, hardware, software, or systems testing.
Strong understanding of embedded systems, hardware interfaces, sensors, and software architecture.
Proven experience creating and executing test plans.
Proficiency with test instruments such as multimeters, DAQ systems, signal generators, etc.
Experience with defect tracking tools and test documentation practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to ever changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day hardware and software activities for the Alpha Test Engineering Team; provide technical leadership and development for Test Engineers and Test Technicians
Coordinate testing priorities, resource planning, and work assignments across projects
Coordinate with the Validation Engineering Team to execute test plans, test procedures, and validation strategies for Hunter Engineering products including new hardware, embedded systems, firmware, and application software.
Identify test coverage gaps and ensure validation activities meet functional, performance, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Define test equipment and resource requirements including the effective implementation of all testing needs.
Lead the execution of system, integration, functionality, regression, stress, and reliability tests to ensure products meet defined quality, performance, and release-readiness criteria
Oversee test data collection, analysis, and documentation of results using structured reporting tools.
Establish and refine testing best practices, standard operating procedures, and documentation standards to improve consistency, traceability, and audit readiness.
