About The Position

Hot Topic is seeking an Omni-Channel Allocation Analyst to analyze data to anticipate customer demand, identify assortment opportunities, and position inventory accurately. The role involves developing an understanding of assigned categories and using that analysis to create allocation strategies across channels. The analyst also collaborates with cross-functional teams and provides recommendations to support inventory and assortment decisions.

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze assigned categories’ business regularly.
• Create omni-channel allocation strategies, including initial allocations, reorders, and replenishment from backstock.
• Regularly analyze in-stock positions for company-defined “never-outs.”
• Recommend assortments to buyers to support appropriate depth and all-store-to-layer ratios.
• Develop seasonal allocation strategies to manage seasonal inventory flow during peak periods.
• Maintain optimal inventory placement across channels and identify potential in-season inventory gluts.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to reduce post-peak inventory liabilities.
• Provide test-style performance and rollout recommendations to the cross-functional team.
• Identify reorder opportunities and provide bottom-up recommendations.
• Create and maintain size scales and grades that determine store assortment depth and breadth.
• Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
