About The Position
ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a Full-Time Allied Health Instructor to organize, administer, and provide continuous review, planning, development, and general effectiveness of clinical experiences for Diagnostic Medical Sonography students. Requirements
- Holds, at a minimum, a Baccalaureate degree
- Meets experience and credentialing requirements designated by accreditation agency
- Holds professional certification or equivalent in the pertinent discipline
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains clinical affiliation agreements with a variety of clinical sites in order to provide clinical opportunities for students to practice the skills, knowledge, and behaviors necessary to provide age appropriate care, to a culturally diverse patient population, consistent with accreditation standards.
- Develops clinical course outlines, objectives and clinical evaluation tools that are consistent with accreditation requirements and college policy
- Coordinates clinical rotations for students in order to meet clinical requirements and accreditation guidelines
- Assesses clinical site efficiency utilizing feedback from clinical faculty, preceptors and students
- Provides didactic, laboratory and clinical instruction
- Provides feedback to students during all phases of their clinical education
- Serves as program liaison and mentor for each clinical site and for site preceptors and staff
- Maintains student records that are consistent with accreditation requirements and college policy
- Performs other related duties as required.
