About The Position

A-Alpha Bio is an early-stage, rapidly growing biotechnology platform company headquartered in Seattle, WA. We are focused on building the foundational data layer for AI-driven protein engineering. We provide biopharma companies and model builders with access to ground truth experimental datasets, including affinity and structure, for training, benchmarking and validating AI protein models. In parallel, we apply our data and models directly with select partners to engineer next-generation dual-specific and molecular glue therapeutics, and to discover and optimize differentiated biologics. This role is not open to remote applicants and would require relocation to Seattle, WA. Starting Salary Range: $94,000 - $117,000 annually Exemption Status: Exempt Location Expectations: Hybrid (1-3 onsite days per week) Reporting To: Senior Alliance Manager Role Description A-Alpha Bio is seeking an Alliance & Project Manager II to support the execution and success of external scientific and strategic partnerships. This is a heavily cross-functional role with a significant external-facing component. Successful candidates will have exceptional communication and organizational skills, comfort navigating scientific and operational complexity, and the ability to foster productive working relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific or business field with 5+ years of experience supporting external partnerships in the life sciences; PhD in a related scientific or business field; or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific or operational information clearly.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional scientific and business teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (Master’s and/or PhD) in a scientific discipline.
  • MBA degree.
  • Specific experience in alliance management, project management, or scientific program management.
  • Experience in drug discovery, protein science, genomics, machine learning, biologics, large datasets, and/or computational biology.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as day-to-day liaison between the company and assigned external partners, providing clear, consistent communication and alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables, both internally and externally.
  • Coordinate closely with internal scientific leads and functional teams to support execution of partnership workplans.
  • Prepare and circulate meeting agendas, materials, and meeting minutes for joint governance meetings, technical updates, and ad hoc partner discussions.
  • Track partnership obligations, milestones, and decision points; flag risks, misalignments, or emerging issues to senior commercial leadership.
  • Support interpretation and execution of collaboration agreements, including scope changes, data-sharing provisions, and reporting requirements, in coordination with other commercial team members.
  • Contribute to the preparation of SOWs, partner reports, updates, and presentations that clearly communicate progress, challenges, and next steps.
  • Communicate status, changes, and forecasts to the Leadership Team.
  • Foster positive, professional relationships with partner teams, promoting trust, transparency, and productive collaboration.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of alliance management processes, templates, and best practices.
