Requirements

  • 0–2 years of automotive experience or recent technical school graduate
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Strong desire to learn and develop technical skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Valid driver's license required
  • 2–5 years of dealership or independent repair experience
  • Hands-on automotive repair experience
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and repair procedures
  • 5+ years of automotive technician experience
  • Advanced diagnostic and repair capabilities
  • Experience with gas, diesel, HVAC, and advanced vehicle systems preferred
  • Proven ability to produce quality repairs efficiently
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • Ford Certified Master Technicians
  • ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • ASE Master Certification preferred or equivalent experience
  • Ford Certified / Master Technicians (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections
  • Assist experienced technicians with repairs and diagnostics
  • Complete multi-point vehicle inspections
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow Ford service procedures and safety standards
  • Perform brake, steering, suspension, and maintenance repairs
  • Diagnose and repair basic electrical and drivability concerns
  • Complete engine performance maintenance and minor repairs
  • Utilize scan tools and Ford service information systems
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle concerns
  • Perform engine and transmission repairs and replacements
  • Troubleshoot electrical, drivability, and advanced vehicle systems
  • Complete customer-pay and warranty repairs efficiently
  • Assist with mentoring and developing apprentice technicians
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on Ford vehicles
  • Diagnose electrical, drivability, and technology-related concerns
  • Complete warranty repairs according to Ford standards
  • Serve as a technical resource for the service team
  • Support technician development and shop leadership initiatives
