About The Position

Design, develop, maintain, and enhance complex, high-performance software systems supporting critical defense and intelligence customer missions. Work individually and with agile, multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop processing-intensive analytics, implement novel algorithms, and manipulate massive datasets in real-time environments. Participate in system architecture discussions by evaluating hardware/software trade-offs, driving code reuse, and leveraging COTS/GOTS solutions. Resolve problem reports and ensure rigorous software testing and quality standards. An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Requirements

• Active security clearance at the TS/SCI polygraph level.
• Hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems, such as processing-intensive analytics, real-time data pipelines, algorithm development, or business management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manipulate, process, and optimize pipelines for extremely large datasets.
• Experience reviewing, unit testing, and integration testing software components against documented design requirements, and tracking and resolving software problem reports.
• Experience providing technical input into system-level design, including hardware/software trade-off analysis, software reuse, and integration of COTS/GOTS solutions.
• Proficiency with modern software engineering methodologies, tools, and practices for dynamic development environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, plus at least 7 years of professional experience in data science, NLP, or software engineering; alternatively, a high school diploma/GED plus at least 11 years of specialized technical experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Java, Python, C++, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience developing cloud-native microservices using AWS services, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with distributed computing and data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, or NiFi.
• Practical knowledge of automated build, deployment, and continuous integration tools such as Git, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
