They are seeking passionate, knowledgeable, and reliable senior algebra tutors to join their Richmond team. Tutors will work one-on-one with students to support their academic success in subjects such as general science, biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and other STEM-related areas. Instruction will be tailored to individual learning styles to help students build confidence and mastery.

Requirements

• All applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree
• Hold a valid Virginia State teaching certificate (or equivalent from another state).
• Currently enrolled in a teacher certification program.
• Have 2+ years of experience teaching in a private, public, or charter school.
• Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. college or university.
• Are a Master’s or PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at a U.S. university or college.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support in science and/or math aligned with Virginia’s curriculum standards.
• Design and deliver customized tutoring sessions in STEM subjects.
• Offer remedial or enrichment instruction based on each student’s needs.
• Assign supplemental materials to enhance understanding and retention.
• Maintain open communication with parents/guardians to report on student progress and goals.
