About The Position

Yamhill County has one regular full-time position for an Alcohol and Drug Counselor, with ability to obtain a CADC certification, to work as a member of an integrated behavioral health team providing treatment for adults with co-occurring substance abuse disorders and mental illness. Duties will include conducting annual assessments, diagnosing, individual service planning, direct treatment, case management, accurate documentation and records maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Saturdays may be included in the work schedule. This position provides a great opportunity for professional development and advancement in clinical skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • At least one year of experience working in a behavioral or mental health environment
  • Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above
  • Must have a current CADC certificate, or the ability to obtain one within one year of starting
  • Must have an NPI number or the ability to obtain one upon employment
  • Will be subject to successful completion of a background check
  • Must not be excluded from participation in federal health care programs (Medicaid, Medicare, and other federally funded programs that provide health benefits)
  • Must not be excluded from participation in federal procurement (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and non-procurement activities (Executive Order No. 12549)
  • Regular, prompt, and consistent attendance
