About The Position

IK Systems is seeking a Technician to deliver best-in-class installation and service for critical security and life safety systems. This role involves hands-on experience with low voltage security systems and a passion for solving technical challenges. The position is based in Syracuse and is full-time. There is a willingness to travel nationally until further notice. Work performed in Charles County, Maryland requires technicians to hold or be eligible for a Charles County Restricted Master Electrician License, which covers low voltage alarm and security system installation. Equivalent Restricted Master licenses from other Maryland jurisdictions may qualify for reciprocity. A current Certificate of Insurance is required to maintain active license status.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in low-voltage installation and service
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and efficiency
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Willingness to travel (<100% nationally) until further notice
Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Charles County Restricted Master Electrician License (or equivalent Maryland jurisdiction license for reciprocity)

Nice To Haves

Experience with Genetec, AMAG, and other security systems

Responsibilities

Install and service large-scale, networked low-voltage security systems, including access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, and structured cabling
Support integrated solutions such as life safety, audio-visual, building automation, and endpoint security
Collaborate with project teams to ensure systems are delivered on time and to the highest standards
Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize systems to meet customer needs
Represent IK Systems as a trusted partner on-site, building strong customer relationships
