Airstream RV Electrical Technician
About The Position
Ultimate Airstreams (Clackamas, OR) is hiring an Airstream RV Electrical Technician. This role is part of the Lithia & Driveway family, a large automotive retailer. The company focuses on providing customers with opportunities to create lasting memories in an Airstream and offers professional and personal growth for its team members. The RV Electrical Technician will utilize experience in various disciplines such as Automotive Electrical Technician, Mechanic, Plane or Boat Mechanic, Carpentry, Car Audio, Solar Energy, Low Voltage Electrician, Custom Van Builder, Electrician, or Plumber. The technician will collaborate with cabinet makers, metal fabricators, and upholstery team members to customize and upgrade Airstream travel trailers. Excellent guest service is also a key component of this role.
Requirements
- RV electrical upgrades experience
- Experience Installing Victron Energy Components to build off grid power systems
- Experience installing Solar energy systems that include Solar panels and Victron Energy charge controllers.
- Experience with RV plumbing, RV appliances, RV heating and Air conditioning systems.
- Experience installing 12-volt Lithium-ion battery banks / 120-volt AC electrical components
- Strong mechanical aptitude with problem solving skills
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in RV, automotive, Adventure Van Building or related trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing).
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills for working with Guest, Project Designers, shop foremen, and team members
- Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.
- High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.
- We are a drug-free workplace.
Nice To Haves
- RVIA/RVDA Certified Technician, preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Utilize experience in disciplines including Automotive Electrical Technician or Mechanic, Plane or Boat Mechanic, Carpentry, Car Audio, Solar Energy, Low Voltage Electrician, Custom Van Builder, or other skilled trades such as Electrician or Plumber.
- Work alongside cabinet makers, metal fabricators and upholstery Team Members to customize and upgrade Airstream travel trailers.
- Strive to provide excellent guest service to external and internal Guests/Team Members to maintain Guest/Team Member relations.
- Participate in continuing education and training.
