Requirements

• Possession of a High school diploma or equivalent GED
• Two (2) years paid experience in asphalt and concrete pavement maintenance or construction work and building maintenance.
• Possession of a valid California Class C Driver’s License is required at the time of application and continued maintenance throughout the entire term of employment in this classification.
• A valid Class B California Driver License is required within twelve (12) months of appointment and must be maintained for the entire term of employment in this classification.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working around airport facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair runways, taxiways, aprons, and airfield infrastructure
• Operate hand tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment
• Perform FAA - compliant safety and security inspections
• Complete concrete, asphalt, and general maintenance tasks
• Support low - visibility aircraft escorts and airfield operations
• Assist with international baggage screening and security duties
• Respond to emergencies and assist with hazardous spill cleanup
• Perform grounds, vegetation, and wildlife control activities
• Prepare logs, reports, and documentation using software
• Performs other related duties as assigned
