This role will contribute immediately to active projects and, over time, assume ownership of key client relationships and project delivery responsibilities. You will plan, design, and manage complex airport engineering projects while collaborating closely with internal teams, clients, contractors, and agencies. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer licensure or ability to obtain within an acceptable timeframe
  • Demonstrated experience in airport engineering, design, and construction
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage complex projects with minimal oversight

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading or mentoring engineering staff
  • Project management and business development experience
  • Experience coordinating with FAA, state, and local agencies

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and manage airport engineering and construction projects across the full project lifecycle
  • Lead technical and feasibility studies for airport infrastructure projects
  • Prepare detailed designs, plans, specifications, and bidding documents
  • Use AutoCAD to develop detailed design solutions
  • Ensure designs and construction activities comply with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with clients to define project needs, scope, and technical requirements
  • Coordinate with agencies, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery
  • Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members
  • Act as a technical lead on complex projects and may serve as a lead engineer or first‑level supervisor
  • Support business development efforts and client relationship growth as opportunities arise
