About The Position

Parsons is looking for a talented Field Project Manager, Airports to join our team! In this role you will get to manage all site-specific activities for a small project, or a subtask of a larger project, in accordance with the project requirements on the Asheville Airport. We are looking for a field construction professional preferably with at least 5 years construction experience, airport construction experience is a plus but not mandated. Duties will include but not limited to quality control inspection, stakeholder coordination, ORAT support, RFI, submittal review, shop drawings review, plans and specification review, good verbal and written communication skills (a must) and limited construction supervision. Project duration is 2 years with opportunities beyond if willing relocate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or construction-related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 10+ years related work experience.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role at a field site.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (a must).

Nice To Haves

  • Airport construction experience is a plus but not mandated.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and executes all aspects of assigned projects including the development of scope of work (SOW) documents, budgets, schedules, and project implementation plans.
  • Coordinates project requirements with client to ensure delivery of high-quality project deliverables.
  • Collaborates with Project or Program Manager to establish project schedule and budget to include the number of hours required for successful completion of project tasks; monitors progress to meet requirements.
  • Develops project documents, processes, and procedures required to support quality control and final project deliverables.
  • Establishes a project safety plan; ensures it is communicated to all employees on the job site.
  • Actively promotes and supports safety, security, and quality policies; monitors the job site for good practices.
  • Establishes site security measures and monitors site access by subcontractors and others.
  • Chairs regular job meetings with project stakeholders; prepares and submits a project progression summary and pending issues to client and Project/Program Manager.
  • Submits regular reports to client; responds to issues and/or expectation concerns.
  • Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and subcontractors.
  • Documents and executes changes in scope of project.
  • Anticipates problems and works with client, architects/engineers, subcontractors, and Project or Program Manager to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Keeps client and Project or Program Manager informed of the daily project activities.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of job progress through daily logs and other reports.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
