About The Position

Skilled work operating and maintaining mowers, sweepers, forklifts, man lifts, trucks, tractors, air compressors, HVAC and refrigeration equipment, and other equipment with a gross vehicle weight under 26,000 pounds, including cargo and tows. The role includes supervising a crew and driving crew members to worksites in vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License. When not operating equipment, employees perform light and heavy maintenance and other assigned tasks. Employees may work alternating shifts and may be required to be available for emergency calls on a 24-hour basis. Work takes place indoors and in the field.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; the original credential must be provided before the start date if hired.
• Two years of full-time, paid experience operating a variety of small and intermediate-sized equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility for coverage under the airport’s auto liability insurance policy.
• Good driving record. Applicants with two or more moving violations or one or more driving-while-intoxicated violations within the previous 18 months are ineligible for employment in this classification.
• Pass the personal, criminal, and employment background check required under federal regulations.
• Complete a one-year probationary period.
